Russians now suffer from more diseases and die from these diseases in greater numbers and at earlier ages than do citizens of other developed nations. German measles are out of control. Infant mortality is more than twice the US rate. AIDs and sexually transmitted diseases are spreading rapidly. So are drug resistant strains of TB.

A kind of societal plague has descended on Russia and there are few signs of improvement on the horizon.

Where are the hard-hitting Russian feature films (fiction and non-fiction) calling attention to these issues?
