Irv Gotti : Angie asking if she is his daughter…

Now why wouldn't they tell this girl LONG ago that he is not her father? She looks NOTHING like anyone else in that household. I respect him raising her and whatnot, but don't let that girl think she is yours and have people talkin trash to her at school!

I saw the preview of next week's epi and I saw that situation being discussed.

Yeah i thought she was the babysitter having dinner at first.But then when he spoke i ws like oh thats their kid.I came in near the middle of the show.Then i started looking at the other kids then the mom then him and i was like O.o;;

If she's NOT Gotti's daughter. Is she his wife's daughter from a previous relationship?

Or is she adopted?

I completely disagree with the "it doesn't matter." When it does matter. What if something life threating happened to her and she needs an organ. Hmmm that would be the WORSE time to bring it up that "Oh by the way, honey I love you and you are MINE, but technically you aren't mine." Telling a child the truth is important, as long as they understand that you love them unconditionally know matter who the bio dad is, and that is what Irv proved on his show, that it doesn't matter who your bio dad is, I'm your father and I love you!

Yeah the child of your friend deserves to know the truthI mean, for medical reasons if something, God forbid, should happen. Also, I've heard of people finding out the truth about a parent or their parents later in life and wish they had known sooner. Of course, some don't really care, but I believe that a child needs to know anyway.

While I totally agree that the person who raised the kid is more of a father than the one who created it, for practical reasons a child should know.

Angie looks exactly like her mother. They smile alike and everything. She's a beautiful girl.

On that note I think Irv is a wonderful person. I got a tear in my eye seeing how much he ADORES Angie. He IS her father. He raised her from the cradle. It isn't about DNAIt is about who is there for the child. And he's been there from jump street.

Honey, Angie's daddy was probably dark skinnedThus the reason why she is darker than her mother. OTHERWISE, Angie looks just like her mother due to her features.

In the episode, Gotti mentioned something about adopting her so evidently her last name was different and people can be cruel when a child looks a little different than the rest of the family. The stupid part is some kids can take features, complexion from someone back in the family. In some black families there are different complexions and people sometimes make a issue about it and it can alienate that person and they can develop a complex, because other people make a issue about it. They are a attractive family, the kids are adorable, good luck to them.

I agree with you they have alot of similar features.They could indeed pass for sister's Angie looks like someone in her mid to late 20's to me.

I didn't get that impression. I just got that people were teasing her about it and she didn't quite know how to handle it. So he reassured her that blood or not he is her father. I'm sure she knows that he isn't blood related, but when people are questioning the only father you've ever known it's difficult. She just needed a pep talk from her daddy.

Yes, Angie already knew that Irv isnt her Biological father. If you followed the episode, they made it very clear. Plus the episode would of went a whole other way if they kept that part a secret. How would the kids at Angies school know that very big piece of information if angie didnt already know that.
