Mahershalalhashbaz Ali : He's going to win the Oscar.

Said it right here. He's sweeping nearly every single one of the Critic's awards, and his performance in Moonlight was absolutely amazing. What do you guys think?

100% agree he's brings life to all his performances and finds a way to win the viewer over every time. Can wait to see him leading films as he should. This man has incredible acting range. On the rise doesn't do him justice

I saw the film and don't get the hype around his performance. It's good, but not any better than the other males in the film. Why he's being singled out for Oscar recognition in this is odd.

Do you think it's because he's more of an established actor? That was one reason, I thought.

Also, his role was at a key part in the narrativeso it made it more powerful.

I know what you're saying about being singled out when the others, especially the oldest (who is nominated for a SAG), was so touching. His hurt eyes broke my heart.

i thought he was good and was an important part of the film but oscar worthy seriously? it wasnt that good i would give it to jeff bridges over him

I love Jeff Bridges, but the film he played in, Hell or High Water, had a rather mundane story line, and his character did not have depth. Mahershala Ali played perfectly an important role in an important film, and all my money is on him winning best supporting actor for Moonlight.

Have not Seen Moonlight yet. But loved him In Luke Cage. I wish him the best.

He dominated the screen in every scene. I was blown away by how powerful his role was in the film. I'm rooting for Mahershala to win the Oscar.

no, he's not ..his performance was okay but not great even i don't think he deserved the nomination in the first place his role was too small
