Dr. Laura is a victim of politcal correctness and the sort of double standard which protects speech from the left and censors speech from the right.

Actually Dr. Laura lives by a double standard. She lived with her husband before he was ever divorced and then married a man with children. She is a walking double standard.

I believe the radio audience are the victims of someone pretending to offer qualified advice when they aren't a real psychologist or psychiatrist, but have only a doctorate in physiologythe study of the workings of the tissues and organs of the human body.

My gawd if I were so despertate as to call a radio personality for advice you better believe I would do some research on the person. So Dr.Laura is not pretending to be anyone other then what she is period.

Although her speech is not being stifled as she is free to say what she is being unduly attacked for expressing her opinion. Even the truth hurts sometimes but it has to be said and Dr. Laura spoke the truth.

I still don't understand why you morons keep saying that people don't have freedom of speech. Think about it dumb ass. Nobody took away her freedom of speech. It was the use of her freedom of speech that got her dumb ass in trouble in the first place. She chose to use her freedom of speech unwisely. Now when people use their freedom of speech to say how they feel about what she said. She starts whining about her freedom was taken away. Let me give you all some advice. Use your freedoms with respect for other people and you won't have to go through people using their freedoms to disrespect you.

Dr. Laura's freedom of speech was NEVER infringed upon.

It was only when OTHER people exercised their rights of free speech in order to criticize Dr. Laura did she have a problem.

This is EXACTLY the opposite of what we all should be concerned about. Dr. Laura should know this, and perhaps at some level she does, but it suits her bottom line ($$$$) more to have her little whiny, hissy fit.

The funniest (and saddest) thing about Dr. Laura and her (ersatz) beliefs is that if you come around to her way of thinking, you must then rebuke her for having demonstrated the exact opposite behavior in her deeds.

Dr. Laura should be concerned about inciting the very conservative government she claims to want, because upon its' establishment, it would feel the immediate need to protect itself from the degenerate likes of people like herself.
