Lol The Departed is classic Scorsese. It's like another Goodfellas which was released in 1990. Safe to assume this Chinese film maker you claim he stole from in fact stole from Scorsese.

lol The Departed was a shot for shot rip off of a far superior and Hong Kong hit, Infernal Affairs.





Pretty sad that Scorsese finally wins an Oscar for remaking a film.

Please do us a favour and take 12 seconds to check it out before coming up with claims that only show how clueless you really are.

The Departed is REMAKE of asian hit made in 2002. Get a clue for a change and try again, cant do much worse.

Why the hell not? So if you just say *beep* the rules. Kill anyone and everyone to get rich its ok. But if you go in with good intentions and get caught up in crime as a result of being weak willed. That's a no no?

Corrupt cops are no better or worse than any other criminal. Cinema doesn't have morals. Its about telling interesting stories. Fictional or otherwise. And Scorsese is a master at true crime tales. Great shout, would love to see him make this.

A great movie I would recommend to you all , based on true events and real similar story is " Prince of the city " , starring Treat Williams & Jerry Orbach, directed by late, great, Sidney Lumet. Got it on R1 DVD, 2 disc edition featuring the actual story in documentary as well.

A movie called The Seven Five is currently in production. Director's name is Yann Demange.

If they make a movie they might turn it into a series. Martin Scorsese was looked at to do the movie but he passed on it,and now because of the rise of popularity of the documentary Marty now wants back in. They might make him helm the series but it will be tough with Marty doing 2 series.
