Nobody expects a wall to be 100% effective. There will be odd things like this from time to time.
Of course, every time a Mexican catapults drugs over the wall, or builds a homemade hot air balloon to fly over it, it doesnt matter if the wall stopped 99% of illegal traffic to the stupid biased media. Just point and say "Durr Trumps dumb wall didn't work!!!".

Has Congress done anything to stiffen the laws/penalties regarding the hiring of illegals? It seems to me that would be one of the most effective methods to reduce the number of people trying to illegally enter America, and yet it rarely seems to be discussed much.

I'm all for cracking down on visa overstayed too.
