I'll field this one. My girlfriend has a particularly tender eight year old boy. Doesn't play sports, hangs out with the girls, toss him a football, he screams (literally). He's even got tender little hands and fingernails like a bitch.

I've always wondered how much parenting plays a role in gender confusion. I would imagine quite a lot. A single mother may encourage a boy to do girly things without realizing he's not learning to be a normal boy. Activists like to say a "gay gene" will be found, but I suspect nurture is more the cause than nature.
