How to Get Away with Murder : It's Meggy

It's Meggy

Clearly it's Meggy. She is vengeful due to the breakup with Wes. She probably hoped to kill Laurel too. Remember how she said she had an aunt who was a lawyer? It's going to turn out to be the DA. Who will somehow be involved in the coverup. The DA is vengeful at Annalise, so she's likely all to happy to try and help cover it up for her niece, Meggy, because it means getting to bring down her enemy, Annalise.
And btw I don't think that narcotic is considered safe during pregnancy. I think Meggy lied. I'm not certain about this part though.
Next week we are going to see that Wes's body isn't Wes - somebody moved it so a second autopsy couldn't be completed, or we'll see some kind of injury on the body that shows he died before the fire.
Think about it. They wouldn't keep Meggy around for no reason. If she wasn't involved she'd be gone from the show by now. Instead she's sneaking around Laurel's hospital room. Frank and Bonnie are red herrings. The only other possible explanation is the Mahoney's but that's too obvious for it to be solely them. And it would be boring. If they're involved it's likely in some weird connection, but the main suspects are Meggy (killer) and the DA (covering it up).
Edit: or Simon. But hopefully not. That would be incredibly anti-climatic. Wouldn't make sense.

Re: It's Meggy

Co-sign, everything except the drug bitopiates certainly aren't great for a fetus but they aren't so dangerous that they would deny pain control to a burn victim. When an opiate addict gets pregnant they don't detox her because that is worse. They keep her on a maintenance program and detox mother and baby after birth.

Re: It's Meggy

I wasn't sure about the drug part, but that makes sense! Thanks for explaining. Forget that part then, but definitely the rest!

Re: It's Meggy

That all sounds likely to me. Without Frank taking all the blame that is the only way I see that Annalise comes out of this getting her job back and such. A DA covering up for her niece would be a perfect storyline. It is Pretty obvious Frank is a red herring as you said.

Re: It's Meggy

Makes perfect sense I thought it could be her as well but not for anything you mentioned lol

Re: It's Meggy

It makes perfect sense. I was wondering why she kept coming in to "check in" on Laurel. No woman, I don't care how smart, sweet, or non threatening she is, would be so concerned with the woman who took "her man". We aren't wired like that. I'm a woman in my 40s, and was married to my soulmate for eighteen years, until he passed away last year. I have two amazing kids, and consider myself to happy, considering my recent loss, but that doesn't stop me from giving the "side-eye" to the girl who took my boyfriend when I was 20 years old. I still see her around town from time to time, and SHE isn't with that boyfriend either, but we women don't like to admit it, but we can be petty, petty, petty. Meggie seemed to be threatened by Laurel the whole time she and Wes were dating. I think she went ballistic, and just flipped out in the "if I can't have him, no one can" way. It's a shame too. I like her.

Re: It's Meggy

Or maybe Laurel killed Wes because she was afraid he still loved Meggy, if all girls are petty petty petty.

Re: It's Meggy

The only thing is I dont think Meggie knows Laurel and Wes were sleeping together or even anything more than friends.

Re: It's Meggy

Question about Meggie:

Have we been introduced to Meggie's dad? If so, what is his character's name and in which episode did he appear in?
Speaking of which, maybe it's just a coincidence, but ADA Vince Travers from ep.
Freakin' Whack-a-Mole (2014) and Meggie share last names.

That is an excellent catch! You may be on to something.

Re: It's Meggy

That's what I thought after this episode. She's too interested in Laurel & what's happening for a mere ex. She fought with Wes. it may or may not have been an accident, killing him.

Re: It's Meggy

Meggy crossed my mind last episode toobecause why else is she still here

meanwhile my first love was standing first in line Goapele

Re: It's Meggy

I'd be fine with Meggy being the killer but I'd really like Simon to be Wes' killer and attempted murder on Annalise as he thought she'd walk in to an explosion of her house. He could be another relative of Rebecca's or Sam's secret son or something.

Re: It's Meggy

Interesting theory! It's frustrating the boards will be gone by the time it's all revealed. This is the part of the boards I love most.

Re: It's Meggy

After last episode I was getting a vibe like it may be Meggy who killed Wes. But when they showed Simon at the funeral I thought they may make it him. I don't want it to be Simon, but it won't surprise me if they say its Meggy out of jealousy and personality issues, or it was an accident.
