Then you can be held responsible for the horrible things you say

Re: how do you feel about facebook and instagram asking for your ID?

I don't feel good about it, but as far as I know they can't. I mean, they can, but only because no one blows the whistle on them. I'm sure that if someone made a stink about it they would not do it but no one has the time, energy or wherewithal so they treat it like any other formality.

What I wonder is why. I suspect is has to do with selling your information to advertisers. I don't know for sure though.

I've heard they work with the government with their face recognition software.

What ID are you talking about?

Re: how do you feel about facebook and instagram asking for your ID?

I'd peace out.

It's bad enough that they probably have the biggest database for facial recognition. lol

I don't use those sites.

Headed? That's the name of the game. With Facebook, you are not a customer you are the product.

Re: how do you feel about facebook and instagram asking for your ID?

I have signed off Facebook Long time ago because of its blatant violence of privacy. Facebook is Orwell's Big Brother and a cyber and real life stalker in one.

Suckerberg can go and fuqq himself. Imagine, how you attend protests and some racist cop and / or other racists or azzholes can find you. Facebook did that in other countries and helped fascist governments during the Arab spring and during the protests in Turkey. Suckerberg said that he regretted having given space for pro-Trump campaigns, but this was certainly not the first time that he cooperated with fascism and it won't be the last. I don't understand why people don't sign off.

I don't like sites that force you to use your real name. I made an exception for WSJ, but I'm a little nervous about it.
