Politics : New Fox News Poll: Voters trust President Trump to tell the truth
Re: New Fox News Poll: Voters trust President Trump to tell the truth
Do you actually believe Fox has been on Trump's side the whole time? After Shepard Smith's meltdown, I'd have to call bs on these numbers, too.

Don't forget these! And yes; most of SCOTUS is too "leftist", considering their Unconstitutional rulings a couple of years ago. Good one!

Re: New Fox News Poll: Voters trust President Trump to tell the truth

Fox News has a very clear 'conservative' and pro-Republican bias. It's irrelevant if they have been on President Trump's 'side the whole time' as he is the current President of the United States and he is in fact a Republican.

You are free to dismiss any inconvenient numbers you wish.

Your opinion that the Supreme Court is 'too leftist' has been accounted for as 31% of those polled say that the court is 'too liberal'.

But not a pro-Trump bias. Trump is not in with the establishment Republicans they hold so dear.

Not inconvenient. I'm just aware of how these polls have been so wrong.
Your opinion that the Supreme Court is 'too leftist' has been accounted for as 31% of those polled say that the court is 'too liberal'.
I'll play fair. What is the ratio of left-wing rulings to right-wing rulings?

And what? Fox News is commissioning and releasing polls in order to hurt President Trump?
I'm just aware of how these polls have been so wrong.
Yes, polling is like any other measure of public sentiment. Imperfect.
I'll play fair. What is the ratio of left-wing rulings to right-wing rulings?
I'm not sure what this question has to do with anything as your opinion was accounted for in the poll. And 31% of poll respondents share the same opinion as you.

Re: New Fox News Poll: Voters trust President Trump to tell the truth
Trump administration - 45%
Reporters - 42%
That's sorta telling, provided you buy into one of them being untrustworthy to begin with.
Frankly, I'm surprised it's even that close.
And at the same time voters believe the press should cover the President aggressively rather than giving him the benefit of the doubt.
What's missing from that question is whether they believe this president is being covered in an equally aggressive manner as previous presidents.
We should all expect the Media to seek out the truth and provide the facts.and they should do that no matter who is president.
A majority of voters disapprove of President Trump's immigration executive order.
I'd love to see the exact wording on that question.
It still shows that about 1/2 the country actually supports immigration laws.
My question would be WTF is wrong with the other 1/2?
Voters trust the Supreme Court more than Congress or President Trump.
With the exception of the ACA ruling, when has the Supreme court cost most people money out of their pockets?
Voters do not think the Supreme Court is 'too liberal'.
It's close for me.
I listened to Sotomayer talk for about an hour the other day. She makes some excellent points. But fundamentally, I can't agree with her on the 'purpose' of the Supreme Court. She makes it clear that her life experience make her inclined to be an 'activist' judge and promote certain expansions of Government. IMO that's the major difference between someone who sees that court as too liberal vs too conservative.

That is in the poll. 18% think the press has been easier on Trump than Obama.
Compared to the news coverage President Obama received, do you think the press has
been tougher or easier on President Trump?
Tougher 68%
Easier 18
(Same) 12
I'd love to see the exact wording on that question.
The exact wording is in the OP as I pulled the question directly from the poll.
It still shows that about 1/2 the country actually supports immigration laws.
My question would be WTF is wrong with the other 1/2?
I'm not sure what you mean as I also disapprove of President Trump's executive order and also support immigration laws.
With the exception of the ACA ruling, when has the Supreme court cost most people money out of their pockets?
Honestly, I think it has more to do with the fact that most people don't pay all that much attention to the Supreme Court. I would be surprised if the average person could name 3 members of the SC. While Congress and the President are all over TV every single day.

I know everyone has their differing opinions, but that's just bizarre to me.
I also disapprove of President Trump's executive order and also support immigration laws.
I may be sorta in the same boat.
While I feel our Legal Immigration system is overly complex I also feel we've had roughly 30 years of everyone in Govt looking the other way when it comes to Illegals. It's gotten beyond ridiculous.
I would be surprised if the average person could name 3 members of the SC.
Scalia (dead)
Ginsmeyer (soon to be)
Sotomayer
Roberts
Alito
Kennedy
after Googling, I'm embarrassed that I forgot Thomas and Kagan. There's no way I woulda been able to come up with Breyer.
Re: New Fox News Poll: Voters trust President Trump to tell the truth
These numbers are quite surprising. Only Trump could make Fox News moderate by comparison.

New Fox News Poll: Voters trust President Trump to tell the truth
And at the same time voters believe the press should cover the President aggressively rather than giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Just a few more numbers that I found a bit interesting.
A majority of voters disapprove of President Trump's immigration executive order.
Voters trust the Supreme Court more than Congress or President Trump.
Voters do not think the Supreme Court is 'too liberal'.
