The Flash : Savitar Prophecy Predictions

OK, after the last episode, I've started to formulate my predictions about the prophecy and why.

The one who falls: HR. Why: he wants his life to matter and to have significance. He'll make the ultimate sacrifice in the effort to save Iris. And yes, we saw him do nothing with the gun in the vibe vision, but I stand by my belief that HR will fall trying to save Iris.

The one who betrays the team: Joe West. Why: I think he'll find out about Iris' dire future accidentally. He might not tell the team that he knows and will start working on his own to stop the future from coming true. We saw that Joe was willing to be reckless when he cut Wally out of his cocoon early to protect his son despite the risk. Joe will do whatever it takes to save his daughter, even if that means betraying the team somehow.


The one with a fate worse than death: Caitlin. Why: Her deepest fear is turning into Killer Frost, but she will succumb, possibly in an effort to battle Savitar to protect the team. I can imagine she tries to trap Savitar in an ice cage and ends up getting pulled into the speedforce with him, both encased in ice for what may be an eternity. Of course, the team will try to free her, but she may be there for awhile in season 4.

I would agree, but the thing is someone has to bring the box out of the speed force. Joe doesn't the power to do that.

Well, you're making the assumption that only the box can free Savitar. Also, I'm not saying that's the act of betrayal. It could be something totally unexpected.

isn't that exactly what they alluded to? Julian freed Savitar, as did Cisco.

But I do agree that the act of betrayal could be anything.

I'm not understanding how Joe not telling the team and going after Savitar would be considered betrayal of the team. By that definition one could argue the team betrayed him by not telling him what was going on. I actually Julian will betray the team. The stuff he said about HR after Barry told him HR was in the future sounded suspicious. He seems to be implying that HR there is what led to Iris. So Barry should just let him go back to his earth

I didn't say not telling the team is the act of betrayal. I said he would betray them "somehow" in an attempt to save Iris. He could even tell them that he knows, but still go off on his own to do something that will be considered a betrayal.
