I'm thinking the directors are telling these two to avoid significant contact for reasons behind the scenes. Whoever is blocking the scenes (blocking is just positioning the actors) is also making sure these women almost never stand next to each other. Just start paying attention and you'll notice the pattern.

I noticed that from the very first season. Also they never retweet each other on Twitter. Those two ladies do not get on, they have a professional relationship that's it. Which is a shame because they are the only two female regulars, and it also means that when both sets of fans are tweeting horrific things to Candice or Danielle, they never say anything or at least make it clear that they don't approve. I think Danielle has been guiltier of this than Candice because some of her fans have been downright racist towards Candice. I even saw a tweet that called her a monkey. I mean, wtf?

Yes, exactly. Contrast that to Violett Beane (Jesse Wells). She and CP have taken several pictures together and posted them online. Yeah, something's fishy with CP and DP.

Also DP with SV. They were chummy and pretty much tag teamed to undermine CP and her status on the show. They asked CP and DP if they were friends and DP rambled and tried to sugar coat it, but CP said what you see is what you get.

I do hope they bring her back so that Barry can set her straight about who he's truly committed to. I recall Patty saying to Iris that "he's basically your brother, right?" I never liked that line. I think the writers are trolling people by continuing to have those kind of lines in the show.

Looks like DP and CP should have a real scene interacting for this 3x12 episode. There are pics with Caitlin looking after Iris. If they somehow find a way to have them not really talk to each other, I'll continue to be suspicious.

I saw the stills for that. I don't know if it's Caitlin or Danielle, but the look on her face isn't a good one. Even her fans (Snowbarry) say she doesn't look interested in helping her.

Interesting theory. I am unsure if the writers would sacrifice the story they wanted to tell because two actresses did not like one another. This show fails the interpersonal stuff for many of the characters.

I'd like to see more Caitlin/Cisco just chilling at Jitters without the others.

Look, all I know is that Iris and Caitlin had plenty in common at the end of S1; they'd both lost their significant other. They should have had a scene bonding over the loss of Ronnie and Eddie, but nothing.

Since 2x18, they hardly talk. 3x7 is the last time Iris talked directly to Caitlin to beg her to help Barry, and she briefly stood near her at the computer console.

Even when Iris said in 3x10, "guys my future isn't the only one that we need to change", she barely looked at Caitlin. That should have been a moment where Iris goes to stand by Caitlin to give a shoulder touch or something.


It's like the writers are giving the minimal amount of interaction between these two to tell the story. Could I be reading more into this? Yes, of course. But my gut instinct is that something is "rotten in Denmark".

I haven't seen all her interviews, but I did read a response she gave about Snowbarry, "no no no, theyre like siblings, theyre in the lab together thats all, they have that kind of relationship, theres nothing there at all, and I think before they can even think about anything like that WestAllen has to come first, and be central to Barrys story. I know there are shippers WestAllen and SnowBarry but WestAllen is the direction theyre going in, pretty clearly. I think you need to let WestAllen have this."

While this seems like she's pro Westallen, the use of "first" implies that Snowbarry will come after Westallen falls apart. Her answer gives the impression that the writers are thinking about Snowbarry once Westallen gets their shot. It was a very shady answer designed to give her fans hope.

It's shady as hell and so misleading. She knew what she was doing. She's just as bad as her fans.

Danielle is terrible at interviews, terrible! I saw one where they asked about KF and keeping her powers in check and she said, and I quote, "the team at STAR Labs is doing everything they can to help Caitlin" I was like, bish whet? and where? They made you one fug necklace and then casted you to the side.

For someone who's been in the industry so long she doesn't know how to tease / promo her own story.

She's forever doing that mess. I wanted to throw things when she said Caitlin had options. I was like, B!tch, where? When has Caitlin had her choice of men? Never. Iris had options.

Not to say she is racist but maybe its because Candice is black why she thinks she can get away with it without paying a price. I know a lot of you would prefer to live in your fantasy world pretend racism isnt out there. But it is out there you just need to look at what is happening in this country. So hell yes i can see DP thinking shes black, shes not going to last im going to take of advantage of this. Whereas if it was a white Iris she would not. 53% of white women voted for Trump who ran on hate let that sink into the back of your mind for a moment.

Yeah, but actors in general are liberal as hell so you might want to reconfigure that statistic based on that. So now, I find it kind of gross that people leap to this whole black and white agenda for no reason when there are for more feasible reasons why someone would say something.

I understand that you want to give DP the benefit of the doubt, but to me she says two things that contradict her seemingly pro-WestAllen stance.

1. "and I think before they can even think about anything like that" This implies there's the potential to explore Snowbarry because they'd need to be thinking about how to make it happen within the context of the current story. This would have to be planned out in detail in order to sell a new love story to the audience.

2. "WestAllen has to come first" The addition of first suggests that there's a next, as in another love story after WestAllen. In this instance it's not about priority. The show has already shown Barry in his first relationship with Patty. Technically, Patty was his second if you count Linda as his first. Next was WestAllen. DP is implying there's another next after WestAllen.

She pretty much said, Just sit through Westallen for right now. Snowbarry is endgame.

Even Emily Bett Rickards went pro Snowbarry in an interview in 2015. She and DP are close friends in real life.

What kind of answer is that for Felicity to give? It doesn't matter that Felicity doesn't know Iris well. Felicity does know that Barry loves Iris.

Also, as a member of the Arrowverse, Emily should root for the core couple on each show when cross promotion happens. Emily knows that CP is the Flash's leading lady and Iris is the main love interest. That was shady of Emily to do that to a lead actress within the Arrowverse, but I'm sure her loyalty to DP influenced her answer.

Its amazing how they get together and sabotage someone elses story. I never liked Felicity now ive lost all respect for the actress too. Caitlin has her story its not like shes a marginalized character and yet because of their greed and desperate need to be front and center they willingly try to sabotage someone else. I dont believe for a second this is a coincidence its an orchestrated effort. I have lost all respect for these two actresses. I hate when women do that crap to other women

The interviewer asked a question and EBR gave a thoughtful response that makes sense from Felicity's pov. It's not as if EBR broached the subject first.

Her friend Barry loves Iris who is committed to Eddie, a good guy, who loves her back. Why would she want Barry waiting in limbo for a break up that may never happen?

Felicity is Caitlin's and Barry's friend, if both are available why wouldn't she want them together?

I think EBR is a bad actress and DP is mediocre, but I can't dislike them for giving a character's pov.

I'm one of the biggest WestAllen shippers there is on this board and I disagree entirely. The job of the actors and actresses is to promote the show. They are to generate interest in the show by teasing storylines and giving commentary. They may have loyalty to one another, but not necessarily fictional characters.

I have no problem with EBR's answer. It makes sense. I'd rather here what she really thanks than a canned script. From Felicity's pov, I could see where she'd choose a friend over someone she doesn't know. Most people would.

OK, let's contrast this with Candice's answer about the coupling that was happening at the time. When Candice was asked about Barry and Patty, here's her answer for the Iris character, "Even Iris is all for Barry's newest leading lady. Even though CP knows that Iris and Barry are endgame, she says so later, she says that Iris supports the current couple on the show, which is Barry and Patty. This is how you answer that question. Emily Bett answered based on Felicity's preference rather than on Barry's preference. In fact, it makes more sense for Felicity to be all supportive of Barry and Patty at that point in time.

Felicity has known even before the Flash show started that Iris was Barry's something. She knew even more when she visited in season 1. She acknowledges that Caitlin has baggage. Why would you want your friend Barry with someone with baggage? And this was season 2 when Emily was asked this question, so Eddie was already dead.

Anyway, I can agree to disagree with you.

ETA: And here's how Melissa Benoist side-stepped the whole thing brilliantly when asked about Kara and Barry getting together, "Benoist said she doesnt see herself getting with The Flash, played by Grant Gustin, at any point.

That's how you answer questions like that. EBR's answer was so shady cause she knew. She KNEW how Barry felt about Iris. She was just trying to stir shyt up and give them hope that they'd pull a Olicity 2.0.

IIRC, Iris was in love with Eddie, a great guy. If Barry were my friend I would not want him pining after a girl that was unavailable in a serious committed relationship, when there was a friend of mine that I thought would be good for him.

I disagree, IIRC Felicity and Barry bonded over the fact that they both secretly loved someone close to them. When the interview was posted, it was late November 2015, so after Eddie died. I'm surprised that she didn't say that Felicity would encourage Barry to finally approach Iris and tell her about his feelings. Now since I'm not familiar with the Arrow universe, I'm not sure if this interview occurred before or after Olicity became cannon. I think it would be even stranger if Felicity had finally gotten with Oliver and she still didn't think of encouraging Barry.

Iris is still someone she barely knows and she considers Caitlin a friend. If I had a guy and girl friend, I would want them to get together. Not only is Iris in mourning, she may not even return Barry's feelings. I think Caitlin and Barry would be a horrible couple, but I see why Felicity would pair them.
