Juliane Köhler : Eva Braun

Eva Braun

I saw "Nowhere in Africa" yesterday and realised that Juliane Khler reminded me of Eva Braun, Hitler's wife. Today I saw with much surprise that Khler will play Eva's part next year in "Der Untergang".

Re: Eva Braun

i've no idea what the real eva braun looked like, but it did surprise me that the stunning juliane was going to play that part. that's at least her thirs wwii movie after aimee und jaguar and of course nirgendwo. and also, juliane khler is one of the most beautiful women alive.

Re: Eva Braun

I absolutely agree! Juliane is a great and a very beautiful actress. One of the treasures of Der Untergang! Pity that she is not so famous in the world.
The most unforgettable scene with her in Der Untergang was where she is preparing to commit suicide and prepares a make up. In her face you can find fear and retained dignity. I can't imagine other Eva Braun than this.

Now, I'm going to see "Nirgendwo in Afrika" with Juliane. I'm sure she is equally good.

Cinema is a good way of escaping from problems and sorrows of the world.

Re: Eva Braun

I agree with all of you. She's so beautiful and her performance in Aimee & Jaguar haunted me for a good time afterwards. She's just got that WWII look about her.

Re: Eva Braun

Juliane Khler caught my attention in Der Untergang. I had never heard of her before, but after watching her playing Eva Braun I just had to google the stunning actress - and soon I discovered that there was a film called Aime and Jaguar in which this classy lady played another WWII wife. I had tried to watch A&J before but then I just couldn't get in the mood of WWII - but with Juliane Khler on my mind I couldn't resist ! And I'm glad I watched the film; her performance is superb; not like those you see in Hollywood films - way better! I especially liked the scene where her character, Lilly Wust, screams at Felice: "What are you doing to mee!!??" or something like that. It really conveys the feelings of a housewife in that situation.

I agree with you, she truly has that sort of WWII look.
