LA LA Land is expected to win Best Picture. It also has been sweeping many awards, and no one is screaming racism.

Many people are though. They feel like it's a pumpkin spice latte white movie about a white guy trying to save black jazz music. and Moonlight is deeper and more personal.

Moonlight deserves to be nominated because it's a great film. Not because of some PC political or social message.

No, but I feel like art is supposed to say something, entertain and not be stale and boring which was what La La Land was despite it's somewhat aesthetic appeal which has been done to death already.

Just because a few says that doesn't mean MANY people are saying that. The overall general consensus is that LA LA Land is a good film and it's expected to sweep. Moonlight is it's competition in second place.


But no there isn't a huge campaign accusing LaLa Land of racism in favor of Moonlight.

I'm not bringing down Moonlight at all, I LOVED Moonlight and have seen it three times, it's absolutely stunning.

You're wrong, there are MANY people campaigning hard for Moonlight and campaigning against La La Land, stating race as the driving force.

I've seen Moonlight twice and LA LA Land once. Enjoyed both films.

I still haven't heard many people campaigning against LaLa Land because of race. All I've been hearing is praise about the film and it sweeping awards.


The only time I heard any one mention an anything close to what you're saying is Grace Randolph(a white lady)YouTube review of the film, of how it's racist.
