Issa López : The Future of Issa Lopez

Apparently Issa Lopez is one of the most talented, if not the most sought after writer/ director among the Mexican film community. One can only wait eagerly for her next work-in-progress to be completed. The success of the film Ladies Night, written by Lopez was only the beginning of bringing well-executed entertainment as well as something unique to the table in terms of Mexican cinema. After seeing Efectos Secundarios, I realize this rising star is genuinely well read, versatile, and ready to make her mark as a pioneer of Mexican and ultimately American cinema. Where will all this talent lead her next?

Casi Divas is actually the first film I have seen by Issa Lopez and I can tell you that while I was watching that film, my first impression was that the script was very carefully and well written. I think that she can be credited for the sucess of this film. I had little expectations and I got a lot from the movie.
