Behind the Candelabra : did people really believe he WASN'T gay?

did people really believe he WASN'T gay?

Or was Liberace in denial and thought he was fooling the public into believing he was straight?

Re: did people really believe he WASN'T gay?

My grandma used to always says "he loves his mother" when I would question his sexuality...whatever that means!

Re: did people really believe he WASN'T gay?

a ton of people thought he was straight. i remember when this came out some older people i knew were shocked because they still believed to that day that he was straight. flamboyant and over the top, but straight.

Re: did people really believe he WASN'T gay?

A lot of people thought he was camp and he did have a beard.

It's that man again!!

Re: did people really believe he WASN'T gay?

here's the thing

back in the day

people just cared about talent

if someone was one of the best musicians in the world

and put on a great show

no one cared

which is different nowadays because

it's sexual preference first

talent later

and far, far less talent
