Gladys Cooper : Twilight Zone Episode - 'Nothing in the Dark'
Re: Twilight Zone Episode - 'Nothing in the Dark'
People ask, "Which is the scariest Twilight Zone episode?" I always say, "None," because of episodes like Nothing in the Dark. TZ always has a large dose of Rod Serling's unique brand of humanism in them, something that precludes fright.
And yes, Nothing in the Dark always causes me to tear up at the scene you reference.

Yes.If DEATH looked like Robert Redford, who would'nt bust through the doors like BEN CASEY?
Re: Twilight Zone Episode - 'Nothing in the Dark'
Just watched this episode on MeTV & pretty much have to agree with the comments - Redford was gorgeous!
But Gladys Cooper is brilliant in this episode. What a performance!
As much as I appreciate the brilliant stories and parables of 'The Twilight Zone' - and it was a great series - I also really appreciate that it was a great venue to afford a last appreciation for some really well-deserved actors & actresses in their twilight years. Cooper, Buster Keaton etc.

I didn't even know that was Robert Redford. He was definitely sexy.

Five years late BUT..
I just saw this episode for the first time this week wow, it was done beautifully. She was an amazing actress and had me in tears. So much so, that I went right into IMDB to learn more about her.
Another funny thing is that I had no clue that was Redford- but I noticed what amazing charisma and presence he had right away. Immediately thought to myself "I have no idea who this actor is but I bet he went on to do some amazing work" ;)

Re: Twilight Zone Episode - 'Nothing in the Dark'
The episode with Redford was ok but the Twilight Zone where she's bedridden and keeps getting mysterious phone calls - finding out its from her dead former fianc who's death was her fault is the one I remember Gladys Cooper for
Am watching her film "The Black Cat" (1941) saw her face and thought of her getting those calls from the cemetery
Excellent performance Fo-Sho !!!

Twilight Zone Episode - 'Nothing in the Dark'
And, of course, she was a wonderful tyrant in 'Now Voyager'. And, I just recently saw her in 'Mr. Lucky' - Wow, she was beautiful and looked great for her age. Her distinctive voice (and classy Brit accent) will also always be remembered
