Film General : Superman and Bond actors just don't really have great careers…

It seems like those two roles are cursed.

Let's look at the actors to play the roles.

Superman:

George Reeves: Couldn't get much work after playing Superman. Committed suicide (or perhaps was murdered) after a tragic short career.

Christopher Reeve: Had an okay career I suppose, but never really had anything huge after Superman. Did a few decent films. Was paralyzed as you all know and died a few years afterward.

Dean Cain: Has pretty much been in B-movies and Ripley's believe it or not since Lois and Clark.

Tom Welling: hasn't really done much.

Brandon Routh: Seemed like he was never going to do anything of consequence again after Superman Returns, then got cast on the DC TV shows. May have some hope of having a decent career.

Henry Cavill: To early to tell if he's going to be successful.

Bond:

Sean Connery: The one exception of the "official" Bonds. Went on to become a Hollywood icon before retiring.

George Laszenby: THe ultimate Hollywood one hit wonder. Never has done anything of consequence after On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Roger Moore: Had a few things, but never has done much, surprising considering he had a career before Bond. Most of his stuff has been parodying Bond it seems.

Timothy Dalton: Done some TV work and a few films. Most notable was probably Penny Dreadful. Has been criticized for not being very charismatic despite being Bond.

Pierce Brosnan: Had a few critically acclaimed films, One big hit with the Thomas Crown Affair one potential hit with The Tailor of Panama, but didn't do all that well. Also was in the Ghost Writer which was pretty well received and Percy Jackson which was a minor hit. Kinda fizzled out. Had a decent career before Bond as well.

Daniel Craig: I'm holding out hope he's going to have a decent post Bond career. He did Girl With The Dragon Tattoo after all which was a pretty big hit. Also was cast in a Steven Soderbergh movie with some big stars and that could be pretty big. He's got a chance.

Did I miss anything from these actors?

I think I read something that Reeve did have opportunities after Superman but largely turned a lot of them down.
