Somewhat surprised that Buck Privates rated so low. No quibble with the top movies, though.
I have seen a lot of their movies, but like Martin and Lewis, they seem to sort of mass together in my mind. Besides Meet Frankenstein, it is Buck Privates and Who Done It? that I recall specifically.

Hi John, when I was putting this together I was surprised to see the Buck Privates sequel score higher. I've watched them both but can't remember which was better. They both got middling scores from a couple of sources which brought the rating down a bit.
The top three were pretty close until Maltin gave Frankenstein 9 out of 10 which, when you think of it, is a higher score than nearly all the films contained in his Movie Guide! It was fun to see Bud and Lou meet those monsters but 9 out of 10? In contrast Maltin gave El Cid, Gilda, Ace in the Hole, Fort Apache and The Big Country 7 out of 10.
