Bud Abbott : He Outlived Lou By 15 Years….

when he died in 1974. I can't help, but wonder if he missed Lou and those A&C glory days during his final years. He probably did. I remember reading about how much Stan Laurel missed 'Ollie' Hardy after he died in 1957.

I've seen Abbott quoted as saying "I've lost my best friend" when Lou died. I also read an interview with a fan who stopped by and visited Bud in his later years (apparently Bud was very open and happy about having fans stop by). This person said that Bud's eyes started to well up when he talked about Lou. I think that Bud and Lou had rough spots, like anyone, but overall had great affection for each other, and I think Bud missed him very much.
