Evil Dead : This was actually too much for me.

I had to turn it off a number of times. It was just more graphic than i could bear. The scene with the tongue almost made me puke. I had no idea they'd push the envelope so far.

I found that to be the funniest scene.

Im surprised it was the tongue scene that you thought was the worst because I thought the scene in the bathroom with the girl cutting her face and then getting her head bashed in with the top of the toilet tank was the most gruesome part of the movie.

same here, that scene was so damn horrific. Have not winced so much in a horror movie before

I agree I turned it off after the tongue scene, it's a pretty hardcore film and normally I'm good with horror but *beep* like the guy pulling the syringe out of his eye socket made me feel ill lol

The scariest/goriest one IMO was when the girl in the bathroom reveals her face after having removed about half her cheek.

Then you should definitely not watch Ash vs Evil Dead. Although, I will say the original trilogy, along with the show, deal with insane amounts of gore accompanied with sufficient amounts of camp.

This remake added a level of "realism" and grit to it that made me less...I don't know? Able to stomach it?

I can't imagine what Raimi would have done with a much higher budget all those years ago, though. Maybe the end result would have been the same.

Well the gore in that show is more done for comedic effect then it is this version of Evil dead

This movie was freaky for sure though I didn't find it too gory. But the worst scene was the tree rape.
