I didn't realize you were the same user. Your "100 greatest (decade) Rock songs" threads were some of the greatest contributions to this forum. Thanks for creating them.
I archived the threads for the '70s, '80s, '90s and the 21st century long ago.
Take care man.

Could you add those archived threads for the '70s, '80s, '90s and the 21st century at https://www.imdforums.com/forums/rock.148/? I would be most grateful.

Yes, I should be able to do that.
Re: Ladies and gentlemen, it has been a privelege posting with you
DONE!
I posted the archived threads at both: https://www.imdforums.com/forums/rock.148/ and http://imdb2.freeforums.net/board/133/rock-roll.

Re: Ladies and gentlemen, it has been a privelege posting with you
Thank you as well. Was introduced to nice new old songs from those Top 100 lists, and likewise hope I introduced a few to others as well.
Re: Ladies and gentlemen, it has been a privelege posting with you
Thanks, and you're welcome everyone.
All of you take care too. : ]

Good times.

I agree, it were good times.
I hope we meet again at https://www.imdforums.com/forums/rock.148/. I like this site. It has a very friendly feel.
I also registered at http://imdb2.freeforums.net/. They have the IMDb structure, and thus a thread called http://imdb2.freeforums.net/board/133/rock-roll. But somehow I don't like it there as much as at https://www.imdforums.com/.
But wherever you all decide to meet in future, I will try to follow you there.
Best wishes, elanor

I registered on both of those sites too. As I see it, https://www.imdforums.com/ has the superior technology. But there's no denying that http://imdb2.freeforums.net/ is MUCH more popular. IMDforums has only 169 members, while IMDB v2.0 has 1,350 members.
Re: Ladies and gentlemen, it has been a privelege posting with you
Yes, http://imdb2.freeforums.net/ is MUCH more popular. It depends on what one wants to do. If one wants to chat one probably wants lots of people. If one wants to exchange informations about films one needs mostly the people interested in discussions.
I had two IMDb forums I mostly lurked around: Indian Cinema Board (ICB) and Asian Cinema Board.
For Asian film discussions I registered first at https://www.imdforums.com/ and liked the feeling.
I later registered at http://imdb2.freeforums.net/ because ICB has moved there. So I tried out as well http://imdb2.freeforums.net/board/89/asian-cinema. I decidedly prefer imdforums with the smaller community.
The forum https://www.imdforums.com/forums/asian-cinema.118/ is even more active as of today (now 7 threads, 171 replies). I just added some activity at http://imdb2.freeforums.net/board/89/asian-cinema (now 5 threads, 18 replies).
It's totally the other way around for Indian Cinema: 1 thread, 3 replies at https://www.imdforums.com/forums/indian-cinema.120/, but 63 threads, 417 posts on http://imdb2.freeforums.net/board/91/indian-cinema. But since the Indian Cinema Board at IMDb was since years more a chat room than a film discussion board, it's no wonder.
Therefore my impression is, if one likes to chat one might prefer http://imdb2.freeforums.net/. If one looks for a save haven with kindly speaking members one might prefer imdforums. I belong to the second category.
But anyhow, where most of you will migrate to, I will follow you.

My view is that a pretty looking forum with no posts is not of much use to anyone. So while https://www.imdforums.com/ seems like a more professional site, http://imdb2.freeforums.net/ has the most users and activity, which makes it "better" in that regard.

We'll see how things shake out. If the IMDb's lawyers go after IMDB v2.0 for copyright infringement, we all might end up on the IM Discussion Forums.
