If this crap goes through with the message boards BOYCOTT this site after Feb 20!! Delete the app and never come here again.

The message boards were the only reason people came to this site, anyway. Boards die, site dies.

Because people never come to this site for information on movies, show, actors, writers, directors, news, upcoming release dates, trailers. They only come for the troll infested message boards. When they announced the message boards take down half the people on twitter say they didn't even know IMDB had message boards.

Traffic will decrease after they shut down the boards. Some estimates have it at almost 50% that will be a huge hit they didn't see coming.

People do visit for all the reasons you said. What IMDB can expect is much less fequent visits. I visited this site multiple times a day. That'll end on 2/20.

Once the boards are dead, I will never come to this website ever again. And its not a boycott. I literally have no reason to come to IMDb. Its not even one of the better entertainment news websites. The message boards for every film and TV show is all it offers.
