I thought that it was great too! I just wish that it could've lasted a couple of episodes. That way it could have gone longer before the team figured out how to leave.

Agreed. But anything is better than flashpoint as flashpoint was utter garbage and that's putting it nicely.

In a way, it was MORE like an alternate reality than Flashpoint was. In Flashpoint, other than Barry not being the Flash, both parents being alive and Cisco being richhardly anything scream 'alternate reality'. And even his parents being alive is something which we know in-universe 'originally' happened.

They really did a WAY better job fleshing out this alternate reality, giving it a backstory and making it feel like a lived-in world. Take Diggle as the Hood. I felt that this version of Diggle had way more depth to him as a character in his own right than, say, Wally had as Kid Flash in Flashpoint (even though, ironically enough, Hood-Diggle was an illusion while Wally being Kid Flash technically WAS reality!)
