Monica Potter : Julia Look Alike

Anyone else think that Monica looks just like Julia Roberts? Maybe with a slightly smaller mouth.

Monica even sounds like Julia. I'm watching "Head Over Heels," and she was in the restaurant with Freddie Prinze, Jr. As I was typing, she was talking to him, but it sounded just like Julia Roberts!

You guys have totally hit it on the head. Monica Potter does bear a resemblance to Julia Roberts (and yes, even SOUNDS like her) and there is no role Julia's done that Monica would not fit into perfectly. She seemed to be on the right track after small roles in "Con Air" and "Patch Adams." The one-two punch of "Head Over Heels" and "Along Came a Spider" seemed destined to propel her into superstardom. But alas, this has not yet happened. "I'm With Lucy" was a charming, delightful romantic comedy that unfortunately went straight to video here in the States. Last I knew she was going to be in "Eulogy," but has since been removed. Anyone know if she dropped IT or if it dropped HER? I realize it's tough for her to be a mom and an A-list actress, especially when she lives in Cleveland, but I'm waiting for her career to take off and it's frustrating to see that she doesn't have any upcoming projects. I have to wonder if the roles aren't being offered or if she's just chosen to limit her own exposure. She could and should be an A-list actress.

i really think she deserves to be the next julia. She has obciously tried really hard and never goven up and she is sooo talented! i didnt know she was a mum so she is really talented AND a supermum!!!!

I don't think Monica look like Julia: as I see it, Monica is amazingly talented, beautiful, and (I read momeone saying "better proportioned than"; I'll say:) perfectly proportioned. I agree to he fact that she might have similar personalities with Julia, but to me, she's unique. I watch Head over Heels and Along came a Spider, over and over because of her; I just still can't believe my eyes.

But she will be just as good as Julia that I am pretty sure of
Just with two kids and all, she might maybe do not want to be that big as Julia are.

I was channel surfing and saw this damn fine woman of USA the movie "Head over Heels" was on, I was thinking what the hell have I seen her on and the only person that keep coming to my mind was Julia Roberts. Her and the girl that played Pippi Longstocking in that 80's movie.

I completely agree.. when I originally saw Head Over Heels, I went home and looked up Monica Potter on IMDB, thinking it would say that this was Julia Roberts younger sister who had changed her name. Her looks, her voice, even her MANNERISMS are just like Julia Roberts. It's almost creepy. The way she sort of turns her head and smirks when she says certain words is just like Julia Roberts. Wow..

she does look like julia. i've only seen her in "con air" though but even when i was watching that i was pegging her for the next julia roberts. speaking of con air, they did such a good job with casting her daughter - they truly looked like they could be a REAL mother and daughter!

Pippi is from Swden my home country. So as I grew up there and saw Pippi wherever I go I don't think she's not like her at all
They actually filmed pippi on the island I grew up on, so.

And I saw Patch Adams, It's really one of her gratest movies. And one of Robin Williams greatest movie

Yeah she does look like Julia.Also,she reminds me of Holly Marie Combs from Charmed.Esp from the first season when they wrote HMC's character as quiet and shy.Anyone else think Monica and Holly look/act alike.

if you have seen Pretty Women at the beginnig and you first see Julia Roberts with the blonde wig on she does look like Monica Potter. i do not think she looks like Holly Marie Combs.

Haha, I did too I've never seen Head Over Heels before, and I wasn't actually looking at my TV when it came on a few minutes ago. She has the voice-over at the beginning of the movie, and I thought "Julia Roberts movie." When I looked.. and it wasn't her, yeah I think a lot of people on this board know what I'm talking about.

I was just watching a movie I've never seen before called "I'm With Lucy" and I kept thinking that it was Julia Roberts with blonde hair! This is the first time I have even seen this actress before in a movie and it just blew me away how much she looks like Julia. I am totally amazed that they are not related..

Julia and Eric Roberts do have a sister, Lisa Roberts Gillan. The Roberts are from Georgia, Monica is from Cleveland, Ohio.

I thought she was Julia Robert's younger sister when i saw Head Over Heels the first time, and it was confirmed for me even more in Along Came a Spider and I'm With Lucy (which i just watched for the first time a few nights ago and loved it. one of the better unknown romantic comedy's i've seen in a long time). Her and Julia need to play sisters, it would really give Monica the boost she needs in hollywood.

And at certain angles, she does sorta resemble Holly Marie Combs to.

But thats maybe becuase that was the first film that I saw with her

I am aware of that, about my quote. I just know it from Moulin Rouvge alot more then i do from it's orignal orgin. That and it's the only quote from my three fav movies i could find that i liked that would actually fit.

Why I think the bottom half of her face looks like Julia, I think the top of her face eyes and top of nose look like Sandra Bullock.
