My Policeman : Could you be the wife of an openly bisexual male in a marriage of convenience?
Re: Could you be the wife of an openly bisexual male in a marriage of convenienc
Marion did love both men, but she was married to Tom. She did what she did thinking it would mean she could have him all to herself and it would change things. It didn't. Marion's jealously had severe consequences and then she tried to erase her conscience.

Why would come to this board and start a debate with me based upon a lie you're telling about the plot?
And it wasn't what you're trying to have people believe on here. You're just wrong! Why would you do that?
It's fairly cut and dry. She says exactly what she felt about Patrick, and about Patrick's relationship with Tom after she married Tom.
You didn't watch the movie.

Neither did you by the sound of it. You donβt get nuance and often have to be corrected.
She was friends with Patrick as Tom was, except she didnβt want her husband fucking him.

You said that she loved Patrick.
She didn't love Patrick. She loved Tom. She had Patrick thrown in prison for being a homosexual.
The only reason she helped care for Patrick after Patrick took sick was because she felt guilty for having Patrick thrown in prison.

Duh really!
She loved Patrick as a friend and she only betrayed him out of jealousy. And yes, she could have easily had feelings for him, because she claimed he was dashing and he was erudite. Tom was like the student wanting to learn.

I resent you for making me spoil the movie because you're too fucking LAZY to sit down for 2 hours to watch whatever you're trying to debate with someone else about! Nimda even has this movie for free on here.
