The Soapbox : Now I know why theaters don't offer cheap tickets anymore

I went to a theater last saturday during the $3 ticket day with the intent of watching a couple movies I had already seen and one I hadn't.

- Top Gun Maverick
- Bullet Train
- Thor Love & Thunder
- Spider-Man No Way Home

All the movies were nearly sold out, and viewing the first two went off without a hitch. By the time the 3rd movie started the entire complex (which has 20 screens) began to fill up with black people, and the viewing of Thor was somewhat unpleasant as a result. When Spider-Man started the mostly white theater goers had been replaced with a very large crowd of black people, almost exclusively. They were treating the theater like a playground, and completely disrupted the experience.

Halfway through I went back to the lobby to go outside and smoke. As soon as I walked into the lobby area from the theater it was like Planet of the Apes. There were wall to wall groups of black people just standing around yelling back and forth at each other. I didn't think too much about it then went on outside. It was pretty much the same out there. Five minutes later I tried to re-enter the theater, only to find all the doors had been locked, and the attendants inside were pretending not to notice the waves of people beating on the door demanding entry. I was literally the only white person in the whole area.

Eventually the manager came out with an armed escort of 3 cops, and refused entry to everyone except me, who had a ticket. These people didn't even have tickets, and were just pressing to get inside as if this place simply existed for no other reason than them to come hang out in the lobby and halls, running in and out of whatever theaters they wanted. At this point there were cops everywhere, and fights were breaking out everywhere. I went back inside, collected my wife, whom I had foolishly left in there by herself, and got the hell out of there, movie unfinished.

A few days later I was talking to an employee of that theater who told me this is the exact reason they don't like to do discounted movies anymore and how badly they had all been dreading September 3rd coming up. It's really weird how the entire theater was mostly white people until it started to get into nighttime, then every white person got replaced by 10 black people. I don't have a problem with black people, but I do when they exhibit deplorable behavior enmasse like these morons did.

Yes, and shining the flashlight on their phones everywhere. The kicker is this theater has a "strict rule" of nobody under 17 allowed after 6pm, and at least half of them were clearly under 17. Most of them did not even tickets, I witnessed large groups being let in a side exit who just wandered around everywhere once inside.

Why were you outside the theater so many
times during the show? You're just as bad as the rest. Get in the fucking movie auditorium and stay there until the movie is finished, other than using the restroom or concession counter.
