The only potential thing for her to “win” on appeal is a reduction or wiping out of the damages she currently owes Depp. Remember he is also appealing the damages he was found to owe her. Best case scenario (which is very unlikely) is she doesn’t owe him anything and is back at square one, but broke.

They both have serious issues and I find it difficult to be on either’s “team”. He’s an addict, and she has severe emotional issues. That’s a dangerous combination. She was foolish in promising her divorce settlement to charity, likely thinking it would win her public support and lead to her career getting a boost. She expected the Me Too movement to welcome and reward her. It didn’t work out that way as it became a he said, she said, where both had high degrees of culpability and numerous bad acts. When Depp sued her that money went to pay lawyers. I give points to Depp for sending at least a good chunk of the settlement directly to the charity, when she complained he did so it was a bad look for her. In this case Johnny was never going to lose. He was always going to have far more star power and money. Imo she should have taken the settlement and moved on. She gambled on the me too movement helping her and lost.
