Tbh I think all the crazy antics I've got up to has messed with my sleep a bit. I find it fascinating. A common occurrence with sleep paralysis is something sinister is happening and you're not able to move and deal with it.

The longer I go without drinking (ie Monday to Friday), my sleep resets to normal.

It's kinda fucked up but yeah I find it fascinating.

Poor kid… a friend's son had night terrors when he was a toddler. Poor woman would wake up scared for her boy

I miss my cat! On cold nights he would get my bed all toasty under the sheets and cuddles me to get me warm. When I fell asleep, he would get on top of the covers and curl in a ball. I loved him!

And my first cat, who I got as a teenager and then he came with me when I moved out of home, was my absolute best friend and the most perfectly loyal companion. He died at 17 and I was heartbroken and never thought I would find another soul so sweet but the boy I have now is just like him. He’s so full on cuddly and clingy I honestly feel like the luckiest person in the world to have him 😊

That is how I got Aladdin. He found me. I won't look for another but if he sends one my way I will give the kitten a home. You are so sweet!!!

Ah that’s so sad and I completely understand how you feel. It’s horrible when you can see them declining and you are just helpless. I do feel for you. I actually lost a cat earlier this year and I was so shocked because even though she had been sick with thyroid problems for about two years, I honestly believed I would get her better again and she was not very old. She died very suddenly about a month before her 14th birthday so not a very ‘good’ age at all. It was frustrating as for those two years I’d nursed her every day whether it was giving her her meds, feeding her through a feeding tube, giving her water through a syringe … I tried so hard but for some reason it was not to be ☹️

Do you have a diagnosis for your cat?

Yes she was getting frailer and frailer as I was desperately trying to get her strong and totally convinced I could but she had a bad tummy and so I took her to the vet and she kept her in just for the day to give her fluids through an IV and I was supposed to pick her up at 6 but the vet called in the afternoon to say she just collapsed and died. I went to see her and spent time with her in the room and the vet came in (who had tried with me over the two years to get her better) and we were both stroking her and I said she just wasn't strong enough and the vet said no, she was so strong and that is why she fought for so long 💔 I was at least relieved she was no longer struggling.

My kitty's kidneys are failing her. The vet wanted to see if giving her subcutaneous fluids everyday could help so I'm trying that right now, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I am so sorry about that and I really hope she has a bit more of a fight left in her. It's just such a horrible situation and I totally sympathise 💞

Sometimes I wonder if vets know the reality of the situation better than the owners and give very sick animals an "extra" shot of Morphin to end the animals suffering and the owners as well.
