If I held my cat up at arms length and took a photo of a passing jet with the right lens and setting, my cat would look huge compared to it.

We have no basis of comparing size here. It could be a nearby kite for all we know.

The odds that it is an alien space craft are so remote to be unworthy of consideration.

That actually looks like a tuning knob, maybe from a home stereo set up. If you look closely, you can see vertical grooves from top to bottom, and possibly, what looks to be a set screw that secures it to the post. Someone did not put much effort into that one

I doubt it's real. This photo is the only one closest to the Top Hat one I saw and google strangely doesn't have it. Here's another.

That Top Photo actually does indeed look like it is really a hat.

You would think that with pretty much everyone having a camera on them because of their smart phones and with how they can instantly upload to virtual media that we would be seeing the most UFO pics than ever before.
We should have something better than this that was taken last week.

And if not real ones at least faked ones with the technology now of photo shop as well.
