I had heard this story before, but had to re-familiarize myself with it since the Academy recently made the news for making amends with her.

Is this where we are now? We already knew you have to agree with liberals on everything or apologize/be canceled, but this is ridiculous. Some people didn't like it. So the fuck what? LIttlefeather was also an actress hired by Brando. While she may have made some salient points, Brando was full of his own self-importance.

1. I completely agreed the Oscars are not the time and place for people's personal views, opinions, and statements. If they were so fucking brave, they'd do it on their free time. Go the extra mile, not taking away from an unrelated event. That's lazy and egotistical.

2. However, the Academy allows it. That's all these shows are now. But she's not owed a warm reception. The balls and ego it takes to think getting booed for ranting at an unrelated event.

She can deal with the consequences for any backlash that was aimed at her. Brando would have paid her and she accepted to do it.

It was poor sportsmanship of Brando. If he had any honor or integrity, if he was to win as he did, he should have arranged for someone from the production to accept it for him, like Pacino or Coppola.
