If someone says Sopranos, they're wrong. That was a perfect ending. People just wanted closure and comfort. I love that it started conversation.

It was a copout. They couldn't come up with a good ending so they opted for a gimmick instead.

It wasn't a gimmick. It fit, and it created conversation. Also, the answers to what happened are all there. They just didn't spoonfeed it to you.

There has never been a more anticlimactic ending. There was no payoff. It left many people thinking something happened to their tv it was so unsatisfying. That isn't a good ending.

It's because people aren't used to something so novel. That doesn't mean it's bad. It did what it set out to do. It laid out the clues and got people talking. You question whether this was his death. Doing his death this way is way more impactful. It's kind of like it would happen irl.

I was about to list Three's Company too, until I saw your post. The rushed apartment wedding was stupid. I liked most of the episodes in the final season, but the last few weren't very good.

All in the Family had a gradual decline and devolved into a shitty spinoff. Started when Mike and Gloria left. There were some good moments like when Edith died.
