I Need To Know : SOLVED: Identify this late 80s direct-to-video sci-fi space movie
Re: Identify this late 80s direct-to-video sci-fi space movie
Try looking up on IMDB Robot Jox and its sequel Robot Wars.
Then there is Space Truckers from 1996.

Thanks for the reply. But no, none are correct. The movie was made in the late 80s.

The penis headed robot in Buck Rogers was actually called Twiki.
This could be it, but it is from 1984….

Thank you! You solved my question. It is true that time changes memories. The robots I mentioned were wearing funky headgear, not Egyptian-like headdresses. Have a nice day.

SOLVED: Identify this late 80s direct-to-video sci-fi space movie
Surprisingly, one of the main characters looks like a copy of the BUCK ROGERS 70s sci-fi television show robot, "Tweetie". Tweetie is about 3.5 feet tall and his head resembles the Egyptian head of the Japanese 60s sci-fi tv show, "Giant Robot".
This Tweetie double is captured by a group of autonomous evil space pirate robots, the size of humans and also having heads with Egyptian-like head coverings like, 'Giant Robot'. Those robots have mean expressions. I believe the little robot might have information the tall robots are after.
Because the little robot is of a common robot model series, the evil tall robots mark him by drilling a tiny hole on the side of his forehead as an identifying mark. This comes in handy later.
If my memory is correct, the little Tweetie-like robot is rescued by a small group of good, human space rovers, who carry out mundane working gigs for money. The evil robots pursue the little robot.
On board another large space craft, which they think is holding Tweetie, the good human space rovers try to find him. One of them, a space pilot, warns his female companion to look out for guard robots. Guard robots are used by spaceship pilots to guard their spaceships when the pilot is not present. Guard robots can be programmed to kill.
The woman shortly later thinks she sees Tweetie down an interior, dim corridor. She calls out to him. The little robot reacts, turns to her and we don't see the drilled hole in its forehead. It suddenly runs down the corridor at her very fast, jumps up and swings its heavy arm, striking and killing her but you don't see the actual killing.
That is all I remember of the movie.
