Abortion takes a human life. However if the life of the mother is at risk then it becomes a cold calculation. Money and time has been spent to feed/raise/educate the mother. So at that point it should be the mothers choice. Most will chose to save their own lives. I can respect that. Some will choose to save their children. That is goddamn HEROIC.

Then it sounds like you believe leaving it up to the states to decide what limits should be placed on abortion is the wrong thing to do. Some states may very well decide that abortion should be illegal in all cases, including when the mother's life is at risk, which should not even be up to a vote. This is a basic civil rights issue. No state should have the power to sentence an innocent person to death.
