Roseanne Barr : Roast

Roast

She's gonna be the next "roastee" on Comedy Central! It's August 12, I already circled my calendar. I can't wait, it's gonna be awesome!

Re: Roast

I'm looking forward to this too!

Re: Roast

I wonder if they'll succeed. Roseanne would be a challenge to Roast, and they can't use the old singing the National Anthem bid because that's too obvious.

Re: Roast

I can't wait for this roast! I wonder what kind of jokes will be thrown at her?

Re: Roast

Dean Martin would be rolling over in his grave to see the major sex SMUT that comes out of these roasts these days and this is the brunt of most of the "jokes".

I couldn't sit through an 1 1/2 hour of this, espeecially after the host, last name Lynch, don't remember her first name, but an obvious lesbian said *beep* Chick-Fillet, of course this was bleeped.

And then Roseann with his closing remarks came out and said, as she claimed she is running for President, yeah right. "I am running for President of these God damned United States.

I like to laugh as much as the next person, but this is the lowest point of "comedy" that I have ever seen.

Re: Roast

I agree, I don't understand the big deal about Jane Lynch anyway. She's really not that funny or likable. She was good on Criminal Minds as Spencer Reid's mom, but comic-wise she doesn't great timing. Seth Macfarland should always do it cause he kills it every time. Wasn't that great of a dais either. When you miss Lisa Lampenilli and Whitney Cummings, you know that its bad!

CHICAGO ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Roast

Are you people serious? This was one of the funniest nights in comedy, in a long time. Lynch was born to host, and her timing was spot on. As for the rest...they were great, except for the Whose Line is it Anyway guy. I think he took some of the insults to heart, and then turned around and laid it on way too thick to Amy what's her name. How can he speak for all black men, and say not one of them will ever date her. And Godfrey was weird as hell, but he made me laugh, surprisingly enough. Carrie Fisher was great and Ellin Barkin was a hoot. I LOVE Roseanne and couldn't wait for this roast, and thankfully, I wasn't disappointed. It sarted a little slow, but picked up real quick, but if you missed Lisa Lampenelli, for ANY reason, you obviously don't understand funny. Gah, that woman makes me sick, Also, I evn liked Tom Arnold, and I usually can't stand his smarmy ass. Long Live Roseanne!!!!

Re: Roast

Interesting that Tom Arnold was the only person she worked with in the past to attend. No John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sarah Gilbert, etc. Not even the lesser-known kid actors from her show...

I miss seeing the IMDb Daily Poll.
