Night Gallery : Is this show any good?

They have the complete series on DVD at Walmart for $27

I think it's worth watching, but it's not as good as The Twilight Zone of course.

Personally I loved it. Others seem to prefer Twilight Zone but I am not even sure I do. the first episode of NG is very strong and has a segment directed by Steven Spielberg. Unlike Twilight Zone Night Gallery has multiple stories per episode some are long like a half hour and other's very short even a couple of minutes, this allows for some interesting viewing as the shorter ones feel like little breathers and can be refreshing.

Yes, this is really me.

Hit and miss. Some episodes are good, others are just mediocre. If you're a fan of the original Twilight Zone, it's definitely worth checking out.

How about Tales From The Dark Side? Any good?

Yes, it's a good series. Mostly straight-up horror stories and some humorous ones as well.

Especially compared to The Twilight Zone, it's a mediocre series but I bought the entire series about a year ago and I was able to watch it all in a relatively short time. My favorite episode was the very first in the series. Excellent start, but it never lived up to its early promise.

Steven Spielberg directs at least one memorable episode because it stars Joan Crawford, the first time I'd seen her in film or tv. It's decent, but there is much better young Speilberg tv on Columbo and especially Duel.

The series is uneven, some episodes are very long, some are only a few minutes long.

It's not The Twilight Zone. I'm not even sure it's the next best thing. I haven't seen hardly any anthology series. So far, I would say the original Outer Limits is the next best.

$27? That's about what I paid. I'd say it was worth it.

Some episodes are ACTUALLY taken from the series 'The Sixth Sense'. I like both, but 'The Twilight Zone' is BETTER than both, WAY BETTER for some episodes. You can tell the 'T6S' episodes because they STAR Gary Collins.
