What happened to the American Dream? It came true! You're lookin' at it…

When I am king you will be the first against the wall, with your opinion which is of no consequence at all.
Re: I'm a Tiger.
I think she was quoting a line from "Bungle in the Jungle" by Jethro Tull:
"Well, I'm a tiger when I want love, but I'm a snake if we disagree."
Here's a cool Bungle in the Jungle dance:

That's such brilliant poetry. I love the way it's presented in your post, although the tyger looks more like a large smiling cat. :)
Re: I'm a Tiger.
I have this memorized…
I couldn't keep up in Talented Theater, sadly. I liked it lots, but it is a lot of extra reading. I changed schools, anyway, probably not the best idea. I memorized this outside of class, I mean though. I don't have it all down, anymore, but I already have looked up the words and become familiar with it. I'm very comfortable with old English.

Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire,
I do wander every where,
Swifter than the moon's sphere;
And I serve the fairy queen,
To dew her orbs upon the green:
The cowslips tall her pensioners be;
In their gold coats spots you see;
Those be rubies, fairy favours,
In those freckles live their savours:
I must go seek some dew-drops here
And hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear.
Farewell, thou lob of spirits: I'll be gone;
Our queen and all her elves come here anon.

Re: I'm a Tiger.
You're quite remarkable! That sounds like something from A Midsummer Night's Dream. I suppose you read the whole play at some stage?
Re: I'm a Tiger.
We did A Midsummer Night's Dream in Talented Theater, and I played music, keyboard, in the pit orchestra for it to go with the senior play.
Do you know what this is from or who wrote it? (This is me! just now.)

Re: I'm a Tiger.
That sounds like The Fall of the House of Usher, I think. Edgar Allan Poe. Nice reading!
Re: I'm a Tiger.
Thank you! Yes, it is from The Fall of the House of Usher. I know I saw this movie! It's so funny! It should be more famous.
