What a great entertainer and beloved still thanks to "White Christmas". My uncle met him up in the Catskills while my uncle worked, I believe at Grossingers. He treated everybody with respect and dignity. His talents were legendary and brought joy to millions.

Sadly, he died needlessly from tainted blood transfusions due to heart surgery. Even the newspapers, couldn't get anything negative about this fine gentleman. He could sing, dance, be a comic, a world-class chef, a humanitarian, ambassador for Unicef, etc. Here in Brooklyn, his name is enshrined in the Brooklyn Walk of Fame. His death was a shock to the world.
Great Entertainer
