Ferris Bueller's Day Off : Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

In the early 2000s, TNT or TBS did an all day loop of the movie (it could have been another channel completely). It was kind of a big deal because it was aired uncensored on daytime TV. Anyway, the fun thing was, that night, they did a 5-10 minute "sequel" sketch. Mind you, it was just fun and it had none of the original cast. Two things that I remember:

- Sloan and Ferris have like 5 kids and still live in his bedroom at his parents' house.

- Mr Rooney escapes from an asylum and spends much of the sketch walking around town in a hospital gown carrying an assault rifle.

EDIT: Two more things I remember:

1. The version of the movie looped all day was the normal edited for TV version. They then played the uncut version at the end of the day with the added skits.

2. The skit also featured Cameron who somehow now had his own Ferrari.

I've looked for this sketch online and I've never even seen it mentioned. Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers this.

I'm now thinking it could have been on USA network, as the added material was very much in the same vein as how USA aired Howard Stern's Private Parts movie back then.

False memory due to too much drug use.

Re: Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

Possible. It kinda happened to me to. I was just that I had memories of seeing a sequel to The Mask with Jim Carrey being a kid. Turned out it never existed. Yeah there's this thing called Son of the Mask which we don't talk about. But this came up WAY later in my life.

There was also a short lived TV series that aired very briefly which featured a young, not-yet-a-Friend Jennifer Aniston.

I remember that too. But this skit is killing me. I can't believe it's not online somewhere.

Re: Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

The internet does have it's limits.
Especially when the technology changes and depending on the content.

I have no problem watching any highlights from any recent sports.

Something from early 2K, you would be lucky if anyone even taped it on their VCR then they have to be someone who is savvy enough to put it on the net somehow.
I think the odds would be against that.

Re: Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

I didn't even know there was a sequel.

Re: Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

It wasn’t a real sequel. It was a comedy sketch.

If they did the sequel in 2020 they would have adopted 10 po' black kids and half the characters would be trannies now.

It wasn't a real sequel. It was a 5 - 10 minute comedy sketch done after an airing of the movie in the early 2000s

From the OP:

Mind you, it was just fun and it had none of the original cast.

Re: Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

Mr Rooney escapes from an asylum and spends much of the sketch walking around town in a hospital gown carrying an assault rifle.

Sadly, that would have been a better fate than what was in store for the actor in real life.

Re: Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

It doesn't seem to have ended his career though. I'm sure a lot of people in Hollywood could sympathize with him.

I don't think so. He got arrested a few times but was never imprisoned.

Re: Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

Good luck at finding an answer to this here, bro.

You might want to try the "I Need to Know" board though I dunno if that will do anything unless stuff posted there stays there.

Here you are asking like a couple dozen peeps so the odds of any of us seeing this are going to be very, very low IMO.

FB? Sure, everyone except me has seen that.
An update on FB's life sketch on a TV channel that the majority do not watch? I'll be surprised if anyone else has seen it.

Re: Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

See my other response above where I discuss how limiting the internet is.

Just because it has billions of things it does not have every single thing that ever happened in the world listed on there.

Perhaps the only ones who would be able to release it would be the TV channel or whoever owns the rights and it might be something collecting dust in the back of a vault somewhere all forgotten about.

I dunno man.
I wish I could help you find it.
I glanced at the FB Wikki page and not one word that I could see mentions it and they are usually pretty good with such things.

Re: Does anyone remember the "sequel" on TNT in the early 2000s?

Did you ask this question before the old boards closed? Someone always knew and answered a question on the I need to know board (except that time I asked what show Meki Phiefer had were his wife caught him getting head from a wheit woman).
