Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

Sitcoms like Seinfeld and I Love Lucy are of course rewatchable. There are no episodes of either I haven't seen multiple times. Obviously many agree because they've endured over the years as reruns. Oh and the original Star Trek of course.

If a movie like Blade Runner or Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? happens to be on I'll usually stop and watch it.

Yeah, those two are the best examples of reruns which never get old.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

I agree.

For some reason I just cannot get myself into new shows.

They are either "reality," which are actually scripted or outlined and they know or set up the situations and know how it is going to end, medical and crime dramas and I don't find any sitcoms I can get into.
They seem more and more rare.

So like you I also enjoy retro shows and I am currently rewatching my copy of the movie In The Heat of the Night.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

Newer sitcoms are so much more cynical. There are no likable characters. All they do is shout straining-to-be-clever insults. Show over. No wit, no humor, no depth of characterization.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

The Simpsons
Paper Man (with Emma Stone)
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Lord of the Rings (but only the first movie)
The Hobbit (ditto)
Star Wars (ditto lol)
The NeverEnding Story

for all the reasons u stated.

suck it.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

oh lol well we didnt have "Cartoon Network" in Germany, just regular national TV and our tv station Pro7 was and is the home of The Simpsons. means Pro7 aired and still airs at least 2 episodes of The Simpsons every single day all these years and for as far as i can think back (new eps and reruns). Sailor Moon was another show i watched as a kid like a maniac on RTL II lol but they just had it on 5 times a week and then stopped airing that show at one point (which was probably too 90's for the kids of the 00s years lol). same with Powerpuff Girls then later on SuperRTL.

anyway, there was no cartoon network for us, and so i missed a lot of the popular cartoons. but anyway, i was happy with Simpsons and Sailor Moon and Powerpuff Girls

suck it.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

It’s been really bad for like 20 years now, but the first 10 or so seasons were truly excellent.

And this honestly is one of my favourite moments in tv ever (I’ve posted this before)

Azn: “He (Orsen) now pretends to be in his 50s, but is in his 70s or close to 80 yo.”

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

Mona is a great character, yeah.

suck it.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

lol there’s no context: it’s widely considered one of the best ever episodes.

Homer staring at the stars after his mother departs is extremely powerful

I have been rewatching:

Fringe
The X-Files
Elementary
Luther

Vikings

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

It's really hard for me to re-binge watch a TV show because I've never been a TV show binger. However a few years back on Netflix I binged watched many shows.

I can say that I could easily rewatch Breaking Bad.

Also Farscape for the three people that know what that is. I really enjoyed that show.

Doctor Who(2005+) is highly enjoyable. I could re-watch a few seasons of that.

As far as anime I could easily watch Dragon Ball Z start to finish again.

In fact every couple of years I'll do that and I enjoy it. I don't care how old I get. Also DB and DBS.

I'll add more if I can think of them

❤️We are the best and brightest of this whole place. We are the most advanced..either that or just nuts.

I actually just watched the first season of One Punch Man and really enjoyed that one too.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

Its pace reminds me of Kill La Kill which I really liked. If you haven't seen that you gotta check it out.

Edit: Kill La Kill and One Punch should be on Netflix as well if you have that.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

Two and a Half Men still makes me laugh, even after having seen every original episode (with Charlie Sheen) several times already. I didn't like Ashton Kutcher stepping into Sheen's role, so I never watched it after Sheen left.

As far as re-watching movies, hmm, mixed bag: for me, various war movies and assorted classics are worth re-watching, plus some of the teen comedies from the 80s never seem to get old. Some movies do get old and tiresome, though. Like, I'm through watching Easy Rider (1969), for example.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

Agreed about Charlie. He made Two and a Half Men amazing. So did Alan. Their dynamic together was perfect.

They were both young stars in the '80s so they just had that chemistry.

Ashton tried his best but he's no replacement. Plus it seemed like the show was going woke with the writing. So…

But yeah I still enjoy watching the reruns. I still have a huge crush on Candy.❤️

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

Charlie is a sex addict.
That is all you need to know!

Actually I could never get into it either.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

Charlie is great in it, but there's more to the show than Charlie: there's his brother Alan, the kid (Jake), the mother, Berta the maid, Rose the stalker… yeah, way more than Charlie.

Re: What movies/tv shows do you like rewatching?

I think you'd like it, M. But, if you ever decide to watch it, it's one of those series where I strongly recommend you start with the very first episode, and watch the entire first season in order. It sets the tone and background of everyone and everything that follows. If you're not hooked on it by the first season, then it's probably going to be a waste of time to watch it further.
