With squats you are doing a little over body weight.

Is there a reason it's all so light?

What are your desires regarding weightlifting?

I'm an ex smoker, nicotine kept me going. Its lower back day too, I have a dodgy back so I tend to take it slow.

My weights will be heavier on chest days as im lyng down pushing.

My gf has degenerative disk disease, so I get it.

Doing a little over body weight is a good idea.

I would go for 5 sets of 10 reps though.

When the weight seems too easy, increase the weight a little.

Do you have spinal issues or back muscle issues?

No idea, but as the weights get heavier the sets will add up and reps coming down. im doing them at home so im in no rush, and i only have a standard bar. Which only holds 125kg, my weights are about toning my body and building after.

To be honest if you remember my foot being like a balloon for 4 months last year, that was 4 months on my ass. Nope the weights going up, only weight i feel easy on is the squats but the back is delicate so i take it easy.

If any of it feels easy id be more aggressive with the weights. Especially squats. Obviously take care of your back but heavier weight with good form will condition your back and should make you less “delicate.”

But I’m not a PT. That’s what *I* would do in your shoes.
