19 historically women’s colleges have formal policies that admit at least some trans students

A few examples:

Agnes Scott College: admits “students who were assigned female at birth, as well as those who were assigned male or female at birth, but who now identify as female, transgender, agender, gender fluid or non-binary.”

Alverno College: “admits students who live and identify as female regardless of biological sex” and students assigned female at birth “who identify as non-binary or gender non-conforming.” “Students who begin their college experience at Alverno identifying as female but at some time begin identifying as male, non-binary or gender non-conforming are invited to remain enrolled through graduation.”

Barnard College: “accepts applications from those who consistently live and identify as women. Applicants assigned female at birth who now identify as male [or “who identify as non-binary or gender non-conforming”] are not eligible for admission.” Individuals assigned female at birth who self-identify as men while at the institution are able to continue to earn a degree there.
Men’s Colleges:

Morehouse College, the largest historically men’s college, will begin admitting trans men in 2020, but will not allow trans women who are admitted to remain at the college. “Once admitted to the College, all students are expected to self-identify as men throughout their education at Morehouse. If a student transitions from a man to a woman, that student will no longer be eligible to matriculate at Morehouse.”

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

There are a couple of young men who are room mates and live in New York and their place was being torn down so they found a great and cheap place to live and they have to identify as females since it is a women's apartment building.
As I understand it they did not want to separate since they are bosom buddies.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

I knew what you were describing before I even read the last sentence.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

Selective Service:

US citizens or immigrants who are born male and changed their gender to female are still required to register. Individuals who are born female and changed their gender to male are not required to register.

OPM notes that “transgender” refers to people whose gender identity and/or expression is different from the sex assigned to them at birth (e.g. the sex listed on an original birth certificate). The OPM Guidance further explains that the term “transgender woman” is typically used to refer to someone who was assigned the male sex at birth but who identifies as a female. Likewise, OPM provides that the term “transgender man” typically is used to refer to someone who was assigned the female sex at birth but who identifies as male.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

Since when were we "people who bleed"?

It is a preposterous argument used by those that wish to conflate and confuse gender by using menstruation, or even lack of a predominant monthly cycle, to undermine biologically born females and imply that those born with male biology, doesn't mean they're not female.

It won't change the physical FACT that a Trans person is still born with fully formed sexual reproductive organs that determined their sex/gender at birth. I don't see gender as fluid myself.

Even the brain, which is an organ, is functioning the body it's familiar with and a person who identifies as Trans would not know in a million years what it really feels like to be the opposite gender. The rest is hormonal and psychological.

It has always been human rule that the two genders have always needed their own private spaces at times due to physical and even mental differences that nature dictates.

Norman! What did you put in my tea?

Thank you, I completely agree.

It's not a subject that I know a lot about but I have known a couple of men who assumed a female identity, one enjoyed the dressing up but eventually went back to being a male. The other stayed female, didn't transition but remained with his real life wife but as part of a lesbian couple! I admit that was tough to get my head around.

Yes, again that's exactly what I was getting at but you expressed it in a much better way.

I think some of it is perhaps born out of absolute lust and desire for the female form and can only be satiated by being adorned and surrounded with femininity.

We don't often hear much anymore of Transvestism. This was commonly attributed to straight men who got their sexual kicks out of wearing women's clothes. After all, they were physcically attracted to the feminine form.

If anything, I'd say straight men have more in common with Trans, as they want and need the female form and presence to feel whole or complete. Genuine gay guys revere and embrace their own gender as both internal and external. The feminine is more balanced as an internal within.

For the straight guy, its about feminine desire as external, whereas Trans its both internal and external attraction. Trans female though, would then claim they are straight, when technically as male form, they are really gay male. Confusing though when they then choose to identify as lesbian.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

I do recall the days when "Tranny" meant a man who liked to dress up in women's clothing (often very badly and comically) but there was often an assumption that it also meant they were gay.

Considering your post I think that the example I gave you above, where he stayed with his wife, it's most likely that he has the fetish for dressing as a woman and wearing make up rather than a real desire to transition. I don't believe that he actually decided to go for the surgery once he was accepted as a woman. To be honest, it was so very obvious that he was a man dressed as a woman. It was particularly tough on his family who basically had to mourn their son.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

What do you think about this?

I don't because I do not give a flying fuck about it.
It is your problem and not mine you whiny bitch.
Not one of my battles or concerns.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

Agreed, thanks for responding sensibly!

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

No.

We should be castrated from birth for being potential rapists!

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

You're being facetious of course but is that what you think I was saying?

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

It was.

However; I believe women should be allowed to feel safe.

It’s a basic Human Right.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

It's tricky having this type of conversation without sounding like a man hater!

I'm definitely not for the record.

Bullshit!
The bitch here judged me in all sorts of ways without giving me a chance.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

I'm going to join the herd, and say the trans earned their rights. They fought hard, against gay bigotry and violence. Women having their personal space invaded is not the same as persecution. If we truly respect gays, the buck stops here in the now frontier.

Why are you conflating Trans with gay or homosexuality? Trans is not a sexuality, it is gender dysphoria.

Norman! What did you put in my tea?

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

How about the common sense approach:

Go by how they look.

In a restroom, no one sees your genitals, so no one is going to notice it’s a biological man.

If you don’t look enough like a chick in the face to pass as one in public then they’re a fake trans and should drop a deuce in the other potty.

No woman is going to have any issue with these two using the woman’s spaces as they’re obviously not fetishises into watching women piss, but have put a great deal of effort, treatment, and money to look like women.

Monster, how should I feel? Creatures lie here, looking through the window.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

Of course, a very convincing looking woman will mostly go unnoticed anyway.

I'd be interested to hear how men feel about a biological female using their facilities. The likelihood is that they would feel less discomfort but I could be wrong.

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

Hell no! That's stoopid and dangerous!

😺 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 😠 Let's go, Brandon!

Re: Should biological males have access to female spaces?

Hey man!
A perv has gotta perv!

Now excuse me while I go and put on a dress and lipstick.
