But I a girl (who likes boys). Straight-up horror is like Meh, but if something has your guard down with humor and is then really the stuff horror is made of, then it creeps under your skin and strikes like a cobra!!

I don't know if you can classify it to a single genre.
It transcends several: horror; comedy; expressionist.
It certainly isn't a movie for everyone, but I doubt that anyone who has seen it will ever forget it.

you have to watch the company of wolves bc it is the most dream like movie ever made. the whole movie has the most dream like look and feel that is the closet to a dream kind of movie i've ever watched. it transports you to it's fantasy and magical world.
