Politics : I really doubt that Donald Trump will run again

Even though Repub controlled states are doing all they can to repress and reject non white votes to set it up to help him win should he run.

DT is the type that would have announced and had a rally or two by now.

Instead he is feeling like the rejected loser with the wind out of his sails as he should be and puts up a fake strong front whenever he gets a chance.

Another indicator to me of this is that his jumbo jet, that he used to impress his cult at his rallies as a status symbol and backdrop, sits on a tarmac getting rusty and dusty and is badly in need of expensive repairs.
Showing up in a prop plane is not going to have the same effect.

Losing to Biden in a landslide he sees that he will have no chance against Biden and or Harris next time.

Another possibility is that he is in ill health and doctors have advised him not to run again.
All that garbage he eats and drinks multiple times a day will take a toll on the fat body he has.

I will be shocked if Donald Trump does not run again in 2024.

He'll be too busy defending all the lawsuits, federal, criminal and civil, that are coming.

Oddly enough, I don't see him as ever being President. He **** all over the office, so to speak. He is not respected. He's a con man and a liar. I hope they get him on something . . . anything . . . just to bring him down a peg or twelve.

I really cannot believe at how there are those who want him to run again, as well as looking over ballots for the thousandth time to see if he did win, after the ways that he just ignored Covid and let it run wild taking out hundreds of thousands of Americans instead of doing anything to stop it.

I have no doubt that if he had been there the red states would have gotten it first while any governor of any blue states that he was butt hurt by would have not gotten any or not nearly enough.

I don't think he'd start campaigning this early if he was planning on running. There really isn't much point. It wouldn't give him any advantage and could hurt him by seeming farcical. It is likely he hasn't even decided if he will run again. 4 years is a long way away.

When he "won" in 2016 didn't he announce that he would run in 2020 right after his inauguration?

I think the loss really took the wind out of his sails, he sees the odds are against him and he is in much worse health than he tells us.

The 2020 election was a close one. It was not a "landslide" by anyone's definition: Biden 51% Trump 47%.

By conventional wisdom Trump would be too old in 2024, 78 years old, to seriously consider a run for President. But Biden is 78 now on his first term, so the reasonable age limit has already been destroyed by the Democrats and Biden.

But Biden with be 82 in 2024. It is very doubtful he will run for re-election.

As has been said, Trump could easily beat Harris if the Democrats nominate her. She has a history of corruption allegations in California politics. She also tried to cover up her Asian-American background and claimed to be only African-American. That type of evasive politicking will come back to haunt her.

I'm not a Trump supporter. I'm a Democrat. But I believe Trump will run in 2024 and if the Democrats don't find a better candidate than Harris, he could win.

I would be shocked if Biden ran again in 2024. I think he went into this knowing he'd be a one term President. I fault my own party for not having the insight to run a better candidate against Trump, since almost any Democrat was assured to win in 2020.

I think Hillary Clinton is kicking herself that she didn't run against Trump again. She would be President right now if she had.

I honestly don't think Harris will win the Democratic nomination for President.
