Eli Roth's History of Horror : Pretty cool documentary series on horror
Re: Pretty cool documentary series on horror
Awww yessss Stephen King loves Maniac (1980).
That's one of my all-time favourites!
There's a moment where Eli Roth gives him a Maniac based toy and his reaction is really cute.
And omg his son looks EXACTLY like him, too.
I love this docuseries.

YES!
Re: Pretty cool documentary series on horror
what's weird is how well eli roth has aged. oh my gosh. he's 47 or 48 now and he still looks 25. that is amazing. also he actually looks younger in season 2 than he did in season 1. so weird. he's ageless.

pretty cool? it's really cool. very insightful and very intriguing listening to stephen king and quentin tarantino talk about horror movies.
i only wished they talked more about lesser known horror movies, like b movies and independent movies. some people on there were annoying the way they talked and were like small people i've never heard of, so i wished they weren't the ones talking sometimes.
also i wished that they would have had more talking about your most scary horror movie watching experience with more of the directors they had on the show.

Me too. If you haven't seen Sinister yet, see it before episode 1 of season 2.

Re: Pretty cool documentary series on horror
I agree. I love that movie. It has one of the creepiest openings.
Re: Pretty cool documentary series on horror
this show is horrible. starting in season 2 having someone who has never made a horror movie talk about horror movies in bill hader and comedian dana gould. they have no business no authority talking about horror movies. they are not respected horror authorities so they cant talk horror movies on a show about horror movies.
and now season 3 is even worse they have a horrible person and a slut vanessa hudgins talking about horror movies. she has no right talking horror movies on a horror movie show bc she has never made a horror movie.
this is the lowest of the low pandering to the young crowd which is unacceptable despicable and horrible.
you have to have a person with pedigree, knowledge, and horror movie status you now icons of horror movies or people who have written horror stories, or someone who has done something horror related that is respected by a lot of people talk horror movies in a horror movie show.
only experts or authorities can do this otherwise a person not horror related and who doesn't have horror movie pedigree talking undermines your show.
also machete kills is not a horror movie so that doesn't count for her on this show as they lamely tried to do by having it listed under her name when she was on this show, so pathetic having her on this show.

Each episode deals with a horror genre. Slashers get 2 episodes. Give it a watch if you're interested in all aspects of horror. It features interviews and talks between so many creators of horror, across various departments from writers and directors to makeup artists and actors.
I'm enjoying it a lot. It's great…a must for horror fans!
