I thought he was awesome in the movie. He had me sold when he was playing as the father. I was rooting for his character to succeed. Succeed he did. Amazing.

Why would you come into the threads without having seen the movie? You're asking for it.

Lol I was just about to say the same thing. Why would you click the post if you see it's about a movie you haven't seen? Why should the poster use spoiler tags inside the post? They clearly titled the thread "boyhood". Not like the title had a spoiler in it and they let it be known right in the title what the post was about. No need for spoiler tags.

To be fair, you can't always judge the specific content of a post based on its title. The OP could've just posted that s/he felt the movie sucked. Or maybe talked about the box office results. Or shared his/her thoughts on the film without divulging spoiler details. It's a basic courtesy to alert others that some detailed discussions of the film's plot or hidden surprises may be revealed (by either indicating in the thread title, within the first sentence of the post or using the "spoiler" tab to hide the key info with a black censor bar. Here's an example. Hovering your cursor over the black bar is a clear choice that you want to read the spoiler. For those not interested, they'll know to avoid doing that).
