Ethan Hawke : Great news - the Chet Baker biopic Dad Gummit is finally greenlighted

Hawke will probably do a good job. He looks the part that Leo tossed aside, about the troubled jazz musician and singer that lost his teeth in a fight and had to learn, despite obvious instructions from Lauren Bacall, how to blow trumpet all over again.

And it's finally out! Just saw it today, as a matter of fact. Ethan was pretty good, but the film overall was only middling. It doesn't cover enough of his life story; we never get to see his actual rise to fame, for example.

Another truncated biopic. Too bad.
