Do you mind if I join you?
1925 Gold Rush: 8 P:
Solid comedic sequences, decent story, and good supporting actors.
1931 City Lights: 10 P
Without question, his "Little Tramp Masterpiece".
1936 Modern Times: 8-9 P
Chaplin taps into the socio/political frustrations of the American worker, the eating machine one of his funniest gags ever.
1947 Monsieur Verdoux: 7 P
Uneven, very dark film, however it's my favorite due to the contrast.
1921 The Kid: 8 P
Chaplins first 'true feature' holds up well with his believably heartbreaking performance.
1928 The Circus: 7 P
No statements here, but possibly his most broadly funny feature.

Visually extremely imaginative, fast paced and socially critical Chaplin piece with highly original jokes and a lot of moving sentimentality.
