Sandra Bullock : WTH happened to her face?!

So just got back from seeing "The Heat" hilarious movie , Melissa 16d0 McCarthy is a riot. Great fun movie BUT every time there was a close up of Sandra's Bullock face , I was like "WTH happened to her face?" It looks like she had some kind of terrible face lift where her eyes are nearly like slits they are so taught to the side, her forehead is it seems botoxed to death, her face is so frigid and emotionless it was shocking especially when she was side by side with McCarthy's character. I mean even when Sandra's character was supposed to emote her face was just like frozen. What a crime. Looking 10 years yonger but not being able to move your face is a poor trade off for anyone, even more so an actress who's job it is to emote. Hope it's more botox overdose than surgery gone bad so it can be reversible but I think BOTH went bad!

I don't know when this happened. Last movie I saw her in was "the blind side" and I don't remember being shocked like this.

Huh? In THE HEAT, there were plenty of lines on Bullock's forehead, and she had some wrinkles around her eyes.

OK I'm no expert but I say she has the same face since I first saw her in Speed like a gazillion years ago. That's just the way her face looks and I don't think she'a had a face lift or botox. She's pushing 50 and she looks fantastic.

Yes, she just turned 49. Great. But why do these actors feel they need to change their face as if no one will notice? You didn't notice, and neither did the person that replied above me, but that doesn't dismiss the fact that everyone else noticed. We're not blind or trippin'. Speaking for myself, I accept the fact that actors feel the need to touch up here and there, take growth hormones or steroids, etc. But just because Hollywood is make believe I can't make believe I don't notice something different.

how old are you? If you're under 35, stop lecturing. I'm a guy. I turn 44 next week. I see my face aging. I go to the mirror expecting to see my 32 yr old face. I run/lift six days a week, but I can't add muscle like I could fifteen years ago. When you' 5b4 re in your forties, these changes come fast and they are very hard. When I was 25, I'd say "plastic surgery is for lame people. Just age." That's easy to say when you're young. Once you hit your fifties, you're used to it, I suspect. The forties are the roughest decade for aging. You can still see your youth, but it's getting coated over by age. It's like your face is very slowly starting to blur.

I'm 43. And believe me, I am much better at getting toned up as soon as I touch weights now than when I was 32. Different strokes I guess.

I completely fail to understand the concept that a plastic surgeon can somehow help someone age more gracefully. Every single person that I've known who's gotten plastic surgery only looks scarier than they did before going under the knife.

There's not a surgeon on this planet that can carve up someone's face and end up with something more attractive than when they started. I can expect this kind of stupidity from a reality TV star, but don't celebrities of Sandra's stature have handlers that talk them out of making these kinds of tragic choices?

I said "she looks hot" four times during The Heat. In general, I never look at women over about 38. I just don't. I don't think she looked even remotely scary in that movie. Granted, I didn't see her face in person. I think she looks unnaturally young, but I would probably sleep with her, whereas I might not if she had not had any work done. Nicole Kidman looks a bit strange in Stoker, but she still looks very attractive.

If these women had NOT had work, guys like me might not say "she still looks hot" and these women may NOT get any more leading lady work. So, it may be a financial/professional decision: get work done or stop acting in lead roles at age 45. I'm not saying that's a culturally good predicament. I'm saying it may be the REAL choice these actresses face.

I've seen Mickey Rourke up close at my gym. He looks strange.

But Bullock looks hot in The Heat. I'm a straight guy.

There are tons of people that have had work and you dont know because you cant really tell. Its mainly the radical procedures when people try to erase too many years at once that it becomes obvious.

Also, if someone had a fair amount of work done while younger (maybe to fix crooked or lopsided features), the features become distorted as the person ages. It is hard to alter the face with a time-proof b68 procedure. As the person's alteration ages, the unnatural involvement causes unnatural looking problems.

Or have you conducted a peer-reviewed scientific survey of a sample of plastic surgery patients, and if so what journal was this study published in? Or are you just talking out of your ass?

How many well publicized, hideous plastic surgery disasters have to occur before people grasp the simple concept that plastic surgery doesn't work?

If someone's born with a birth defect or has an accident, then, absolutely, plastic surgery plays a critical role. But for reversing the signs of aging? No way!

Catherine DeNeuve is the standard by which good plastic surgery can be measured.

Her trick was that she had very small things done thru the years that were barely noticeable. She never lost drastic amounts of weight. She was also fortunate that she never had a horrendous illness or outrageous tragedy in her personal life of which the public is aware.

You obviously 1.) have not done any research on plastic surgery or only researched the "plastic surgery gone bad" material or 2.) it's just wishful thinking to persuade yourself or anyone else from going under the knife.

Great and natural-looking results from plastic da0 surgery are all about the skill/experience of the board-certified plastic surgeon as well as the the extent of the plastic surgeries themselves, often against the educated advice of the surgeon.

Yeah, blame your age not your diet or what you're doing at the gym. Seems logical.

Just saw a preview for "Gravity" and was shocked. She looks like she has been visiting Cher's plastic surgeon. Her face is looking very much like a mask.

There's nothing sadder than an aging woman who thinks a plastic surgeon can make her look anything other than a total freak. In her golden years, Sandra may not have been the stunning beauty she use to be, but she would have held on to a tremendous amount of appeal for the rest of her life. Now, she looks inhuman.

In our 20s and 30s it's all about caking up our faces with foundation and makeup, in our 40s and 50s it's all about the botox and face lifting creams, after 50 that's when put our face under the knife and lift that face.

I just watched Demolition Man from 1993, where Sandy is 29. That thing around her eyes where she looks a bit stretched was always there. She has quite small eyes, set far apart, and it's like the skin at the nasal root is trying to pull the eyes back into place. The Heat/Speed comparison pic further down the thread is misleading, you could easily snap one from Demolition Man where her eyes look very much as 'slitted' as they do in The Heat, but people who make comparison pics always hand pick the ones that seem to prove their point. Her face wasn't very expressive 20 years ago either, she always looked slightly stiff.

Yes, people in Hollywood do have m 2000 ore plastic surgery done than the average joe, but nowhere near as much as all these self-appointed plastic surgery experts on the internet claim. If you were to believe them, everyone is Michael Jackson. Many comparison pictures are effing ridiculous, I checked the source pictures one time regarding some alleged nose job and it turned out that these two red carpet pictures were taken 11 days apart. Everyone knows full well from pictures of themselves how radically different you can look. In one you look fat, in another your nose looks huge, in a third it looks like a button, all within 2 minutes.

When actresses are in their 20's they always look a little more round faced. Charlize Theron and Jennifer Aniston look like a babies in some of theirs. As people get older the facial muscles and bones become more and more pronounced. Plus everyone lives at the gym these days, 20 years ago that wasn't really a thing but now every actress out there is a fitness freak. Check out the arms on people like Bullock, Aniston and Cox, not an ounce of body fat anywhere, and their faces change accordingly - chiseled, square, subtly masculine.
