Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. : Mac's "Hope" side story: YAWN

If a red herring, it is a lame one. If true, then it is cringe-worthy writing.

Love Mac and Yo Yo. Great dynamic. But this show seems determined to sink itself sometimes.

I will say I expected more. They brought it up in GR episodes as an off remark, then wrapped it up off screen in this episode. It just felt a little off, like they're was a possible story and then they changed their minds. If it was to draw him and Yo-yo closer, I think they should have done something different. It just felt like a dropped story that never came into being.

I say give it more time. Let's see what happens in the remaining episodes. Still much more to go this season and I think this is just the start of something for him.

When the name was mentioned a couple episodes ago, I sort of expected it to be a dead daughter to be honest. I already hate how much screen time Mack is getting as it is, though, I don't need him having some sob-story in his past as well now.

Also, for someone who says she's not nagging, Yoyo is complaining an awful lot in this relationship, and they're only just getting started. I generally rather like her, but as a part of this couple she's really starting to get on my nerves here.

I agree for the most part. I'm OK with Mac's screen time but it was nicer when there were many more agents in the mix and thus less Mac show.

Totally agree about Yoyo. Like her but the relationship is on a loop that begins to grate.
